West Branch Hall: 31 West Branch Road, just off the 256 Hwy (Scotsburn Road)

Season Brennan joins us as the Project Coordinator from the Pictou County Rivers Association; a local grassroots non-profit focused on conservation and remediation of the county’s watersheds through nature based techniques, education and stewardship. Through this avenue, Season gets to apply her passion and education she’s gained through her lifetime.

Season was born and raised in White Hill, Pictou County, and spent many years amongst the trees and on the water. Growing up on her family’s Century farm, she inherited a generational compassion towards all living things and an appreciation for natural processes. Spending much of her youth and adult life camping, hiking, canoeing and fishing, Season’s interests are a way of life. Attending Saint Mary’s University obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology, History and Psychology; Season is able to apply a multidimensional approach to her work for the PCRA and aims to integrate two-eyed seeing with western science and community knowledge. Later attending Holland College’s Wildlife Conservation Technology Program, Season landed a summer job with the PCRA and became the organizations first ever full time employee-serving the watersheds of the county year round, and all things that depend on them. Season is in her 4th season at PCRA, and still lives on her family farm with her parents, Partner, and many furry and feathered friends.
